Excellent phone

The screen is clear, perfect size and touch is precise. The phone construction is top notch, feels expensive but confident it wont break if dropped. Performance whether with game apps, phone calls, surfing web really everything you ask it to do it does without delay, unlike my Note 2, great phone but would hang from time to time. Software, 8.1 is awesome, easy to use and intuitive. Add exceptional battery life, (2 full days when needed) and you can't go wrong. Only issue is a spot on screen with white background about half way up in middle of screen (a small bright spot of light) showed up on my first one, warranty replaced it but new one is a year old and notice, while faint, the same spot in the same area. No deal killer as it can only be seen with white background. Would like to see stylus on next one.

As a die-hard iPhone user I was skeptical that any other phone could compete, but boy was I wrong! This phone is head and shoulders above any of them. The live tiles are sophisticated, the interface is fast and bug free, and the camera is almost as good as my husbands DSLR. Add to that the ease of use (even an old grandma like me can master it) and this is the best phone I've ever had.
For the doubters, this phone is very fast. The apps open immediately and I haven't had any trouble with them hanging or crashing. Most of the apps I used on my iPhone are available on Windows, are free, and work better. The phone is big, and while I am small, I have no problems holding onto it or tossing it in my bag. In fact, the larger size lets me do most of my work on it so I don't have to carry a tablet around with me too. And then there's the camera - wow! Beautiful photos with no effort on my part.
If you're still on the fence, consider the fact that you get more storage, and the capability for even more removable storage, for less money. It's really a no brainer. I've told everyone I know what a great phone this is, and I'll never go back. Totally happy and a Lumia convert!

Best smartphone I've ever owned!

My Nokia Lumia 1520 is the best smartphone I've ever owned. The hardware and build quality are amazing. The Windows Phone 8.1 dev preview update 1 OS is finally feature complete and a joy to use. The only thing it lacks, are all the apps that are available on the other platforms. I wish you (Microsoft# would advertise #on tv) and push your products more so consumers and developers could see what a fantastic platform this is!

I bought my Nokia Lumia 1520 about a year and a half ago and I gotta say, it is well worth the price. At first the phone seems a little skeptical but after a couple of days I was not able to keep my hands off it.
Pro's-
Great images
Fits well in your hand/pocket.
Easy access and customization of home buttons.
Clear audio

Battery life isn't all that great.
Their aren't many "Main stream" games to play.
You need a Microsoft account to access some games.
Depending on your Nokia's version, its hard to find a case.
Without a case your phone is very accessible to fall damage.

But "DO NOT" take my word for it! I would give this phone an easy 4 out of 5 and I highly recommend this phone if your looking for something that's not too fancy but still able to function better then most phones. (Also the price is such a win win!!!)

Great screen, camera, battery life, storage, and specs. Had Galaxy S2 and 4. Was sick of the lag, bloatware, slow updates, etc.

My wife and I both have the 1520 and really like it. The ONLY complaint we have about the phone is that Adobe Flash Player cannot be used on it and as a result we can't play some videos, etc..., on it and that is frustrating. Is there anything compatible to flash player that we can use? We are not techies.

4 full days of battery life with light usage, 2-3 with moderate to heavy usage! The screen is gorgeous. Once you use a phone with Glance, you won't want to go back. The UI is so responsive and logically thought out. You can customize it without creating a mess. Contrast this with the chaos of Android and the rigid, fixed layout of the IPhone. The camera on this phone is very good, although perhaps not as good as a few other Lumia models. Yes, it is big, but it fits in my pocket fine, and after using it for a couple of days, I don't even feel it is big anymore. Plus the big screen really helps with my aging eyesight. Love this phone!
