the Lumia 1520 is a great device. The 6" full HD screen is nice accompanied by the fact that all the live tiles look sharp and crisp. The same can be said for the color too. The batter life is quite amazing, and it should be, the phone is huge and therefore so is the battery. I cant knock the phone at all. If you want a dependable phone that can easily go without a charge for 2 straight days, look into this phone. Its size may be intimidating but don't let it get to you, this phone is truly great!

Best Phone I've Ever Used

This is the most versatile phone I've ever used. The outstanding battery life keeps me going all day even with 60+ minutes of tethering and taking several HD videos in addition to e-mail, text messages and phone calls. The display is magnificent even in bright sunlight. Apps are snappy and Cortana is the greatest digital assistant on the planet.
Why, oh why Microsoft, did you quit making this terrific device? I only hope that you release something soon that can match this brilliant device. It will be a hard act to follow. If nothing else, just put Windows Phone 10 on this device and give it a different model number.

Excellent Phone

The 1520 is by far the best phone I have ever owned. I have had it for almost a year and it is still a great phone and performs just as good as the day I purchased it. I like a large phone so the 6.0 screen is right up my alley. I was using a NOTE 2 before I purchased my 1520. If you are looking for a phone that has a lot of apps and games then windows is not the program for you. But if you want seamless flow going from screen to screen and a high quality display the NOKIA LUMIA 1520 is the phone for you. I would gladly put it up against any other phone out there even at over a year old.

The best phone I have ever owned

This is simply the best phone I have ever owned. The screen is big enough to use with Microsoft office for productivity and also for all my games. It has great picture quality and is easy to read anywhere. The reception is great. I have to get pretty far off the beaten path to loose signal. One of the best features is the battery life. My students and I had a challenge to see who could get their phone to last the longest without recharging and I won hands down. It is big but not too big. The only reason I did not give this phone a perfect rating is that it does not connect with a blue tooth keyboard. That would make this phone perfect.

Love my Nokia Lumia 1520

I started out with the Nokia Lumia 635 as my first all Windows Phone. I was very impressed with how well it worked. I needed something a little more powerful and more memory so I jumped directly to the 1520. I've had my phone for almost 9 1/2 months now and I'm still learning new things about it. I use my phone for both business and personal usage. It transitions seamlessly from all wifi networks. This phone is packed with so many outstanding features. While the store needs to have more apps that others offer it's still a wonderful phone.

It might be a big phone but its full 1080p and 6 inches. This phone easily replaced my previous phone, the Nokia Lumia 1020. It was a great phone but it was on the small side. The Nokia Lumia 1520 has also replaced my 7 inch Microsoft tablet because it was a combination of the WIN 8.1 experience on a larger but not too large device. Its great for gaming, hardly has lag and in my 6 months of use so far it has never crashed. Its got a plentiful app store, even if some app are clones. This phone also never feels like it gets slower, its also got a great battery life.

A True Nokia Flagship

I come from a humble background of smartphone usage - the only phone I had before was a small, 3G mulitmeida device with so much limited functionality... and I was content! When an upgrade rolled around 2 years later, I decided to go with the the biggest and most souped up device I could find, and that was the Lumia 1520. This phone is an absolute power house! The thin frame sports a 6-inch display that has a high pixel density count allowing for unparalleled resolution, even looking at an angle. Colors pop out, and using it in the sun cranks brightness to the maximum providing for the best readability I have ever seen on any mobile device. The poly-carbonate casing has an inviting feel to it, and the device sits nicely in my hand. Additionally, the matte colors available make for such a nice finish - I chose yellow.
Aside from aesthetics, Windows 8.1 running on the Denim Update changed the game for this device. Everything is fluid, highly-customizable, and intuitive. There is a nice choice of apps, but it doesn't hold up to the libraries of other mobile operating systems; Windows Phone is not the hottest for developers right now. The battery is unlike anything I have ever seen lasting for well over a day of heavy use. The final feature that really makes this device a seller is the 20 MP rear camera and 4k recording ability. Pictures look so crisp and natural, and video runs at a smooth 30 frames per second with resolution that is second to none. Users will love hearing "You took that picture with your phone?" - it is seriously that good.
I have had this device for almost a year now and I am so glad with my choice. The Lumia 1520 is an outstanding smartphone to start off with, and it will only get better with Windows 10 around the corner. Pick this up if you can, you will not be sorry!
