This phone is a very good value for the price. It gives you many features as well as a very large display. Touch sensitivity is responsive as well but i have seen the phone lag a little bit on memory hogging programs. Over all it has been a good phone no other complaints. Will keep keep this phone for a while before i upgrade maybe to the next version of this phone.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight, large display
Cons: lacks processing power

Excellent reception, great screen, great sound,....I actually love it!!....its just like a tablet and phone together!!!....I love it for music also....all round great phone

I like it the size and everything but it needs a better ram, camera and it would help if it had its own stylist. If only you could expand the mega line like you expanded the notes. Needs a higher definition display and better camera.

The Best Phone I've Ever Had!

I've been hearing a lot of buzz about the Samsung GALAXY Mega, way before I've owned it. Anyway, down to business. I've had my Samsung GALAXY Mega since July, of 2014, and I just have to say that I love this phablet. I mainly purchased it because of its 6.3" monstrous screen size. This is the best phone I've ever owned, and it'll most likely be the only phone I need, unless Samsung decides to come out with a phone that's larger than 6.3" in diameter.
There has also been a lot of negativity about this phablet because it runs similarly to the Samsung GALAXY S3's specs. The phone may have outdated specs, but it still works perfectly, and runs smoothly. All phones tend to lag, and/or run slowly, at times. That's only because of the apps, data, and other stuff which is stored onto the devices. This phablet is, and will still be one of the best phones, ever made. And for those who aren't used to larger screen size phones, this phone wouldn't be for you.
The camera, for being only 8MP, is actually better than people are giving it credit for. If your pictures are coming out blurry, or whatever, maybe, try not shaking your hand so much. Not to mention, the camera has to focus on what you're wanting to take a picture of. I take a lot of photos with the camera and they all come out perfectly fine.
The sound is of great quality. It's loud and clear, and crisp, also. The only downfall is that it doesn't have dual speakers.
This phablet doesn't seem to have a screen of HD quality, but it does have a crisp, clear resolution to it. The colours are rich and pure, so I'd see no difference, if the screen was of HD quality. I've had a few phones with an HD screen and my current phone looks much more crisp, than my others did.
Overall, the Samsung GALAXY Mega is an underrated phone. It performs just as well as most high-end phones. And for the price, it's that much more worth it. The sad part is that it's been discontinued. Hopefully, Samsung will make another installment to the Samsung GALAXY Mega series, having a successor to the second Mega.

I had my mega thru October 2013, left carrier, Sold device but I hated the device I had to get, so I bought an S5 for new carrier. I am a samsung Galaxy Woman. Have decided to return to previous carrier-where I was for 8+ years so now I am back to not having a samsung for now but I feel safe to say the LG G2 that I am having to get (for now) better knock my socks off or guess what. . . . . I will find my way right back to Samsung! I do wish, however, that Galaxy phones would be able to beam like a video to any flat screen HDTV...
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, loved reading ebooks on my mega was so awesome, size made it easy to keep up with. . . (loling)
