I bought this a few months ago and am happy with it thus far. I like that the door will shut independently when I am done getting something out of frig. I just wish it had a light in the freezer.
Have had for about 2 months now and have finally gotten used to it. I needed a small refrigerator to fit in the space I had. My 33 year old previous refrigerator was small and quite efficient. This GE has taken a little time to figure out how to arrange the shelves and what accessories might be useful to help keep things organized. I like the 2 drawers in the bottom - they are very convenient. I like the adjustable shelves and the 3rd drawer that can be adjusted. There are a lot of shelves in the door that are very useful but some that seem a little awkward since i don't buy gallon jugs of milk. The freezer is very large, but not very user friendly since you end up having to stack things on top of each other. This doesn't work very well with frozen vegetables and other items. I've since purchased a couple of wire baskets to hold these items and am happy with the freezer. I did not want an ice cube maker so that is a good feature of the freezer, but there's no small rack to hold ice cube trays. This is a little inconvenient as they must be just laid in the freezer with everything else. Again, there are devices that help me manage this inconvenience.
I haven't quite gotten used to the noise from the refrigerator. It sounds almost like water is running somewhere in the house. It's not an obnoxious noise, but it is definitely obvious. I know energy efficient motors tend to run more frequently, it's just a little weird.
All in all I'm pleased with the refrigerator. The little extra things I've bought to make it more convenient were not expensive, so I don't consider that to be a problem. We've kept a thermometer in both the freezer and the refrigerator sections and have found that the temperature is as it should be. Oh yes, this refrigerator is made in the USA.
So far very happy with this model. Like the black with the stainless steel front. I like the adjustability of the shellves but the ones in the freezer are harder to use. The quality of the shelves and bins is excellent. Did some research on GE products which are very positive. Seems to cool and freeze food very well. Delivery and installation went smoothly.
This refridgerator is nice looking but I found it rather small with limited shelf space. Grocery shopping has become a bit of challenge since we cook a lot and have very limited room for fresh veggies and fruits.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello. Thank you for taking the time to write your review on your new refrigerator. We’re glad to hear you are pleased with the appearance, but regret you are not happy with the storage space. We will share your comments with our product development team. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.
I have only had this product for about a week. I do believe it is running more efficient than the 23 year old model we replaced. So far I am pleased. The only thing I do not like is the shelf in the freezer. I realize it is because we did not select the ice maker option.
After years of being romanced by fancy features by other manufacturers, I bought this simple refrigerator. Too many disappointing times of unreliability and too many choices that have features I can't use (Like an ice maker). I decided to go back to basics, and this refrigerator is simply, and beautifully, that. Serious about cooling, and it, after six months, is still reliable. Pretty quiet, freezes ice fast and hard (use the coldest setting), size is actually better than the larger ones as things don't get lost, and you end up buying less and using more of what you bought. I would like a light in the freezer, and glass shelves instead of the wire ones, but overall, it does its job at an incredible price. And it is white! And retro now! Great for my 1950s cottage! Sometimes, you have to look past "advances" and stick to what has worked for years-remember that?!
