The outside has a no frills appearance, but the inside is roomy. The ice maker didn't come with the fridge, but with a small additional cost the installation was easy.
Because of our kitchen design we are limited to a 28*29 sized fridge. This one is taller than most and has some of the nice features like the larger ones. The doors are deep and hold all of our condmentients and drinks perfectly. Love the tempature controlled veggie and fruit door and the cold cut drawer is a nice feature. The only issue I have is it runs a little loud but is still quieter then our old one.
The main reason we selected this particular model was because of its favorable Energy Star rating. Although there were other slightly smaller models that used less energy, we felt this one would deliver the most bang for our buck in terms of size, features, and energy efficiency. We were pleasantly surprised to see how light this refrigerator was (easier to move around if need be) and how nice the slate finish looked in our kitchen. The slate costed us a little more but it also means sturdier handles and a better feel when opening and closing the doors (the black and white display models we looked at in the store were plastic). Overall, this is a pretty standard refrigerator (which is what we wanted) but scores pretty well in energy efficient, looks and function (as far as we are concerned).
We won this refrigerator and it could have not come at a better time! Our old 15 cubic feet fridge was dying and too small for a family of 5. This unit is huge and we love the freezer space!!! Very quiet too...
