Exactly what we needed

We needed a second refrigerator for the utility room and this unit was the perfect size and combination of features. No need for an ice maker or water since we have that with our main fridge (also a GE), and the freezer compartment is large enough to handle the overflow from the main unit. This unit is a very good value and we expect it will last a long time, based on past experience with GE products.
I bought this refrigerator because of it's price and the fact that it's Energy Star. It seems to run more than what I think it should and it makes some strange noises. Also, the ice maker is very, very slow at producing ice.
I walk into my kitchen and just love seeing my new refrigerator sitting there! The other one was so old and was on it's last leg. The new one is so quiet and my electric bill shows how efficient it is too! Just thrillled with my new purchase!
Quite. Nice size freezer, a lot of room on doors for large items, but the middle shelf is too short (length of egg carton + 3 inches). Also, I was unable to fit a bagged stalk of celery in drawer - even diagonally.
We purchased this refrigerator a few months ago, and it perfect for our needs. Our old unit was also a GE and I had it for about 30 years, so I figured it lasted that long why should I buy a different Brand! WE trust GE and we love this refrigerator.
Purchased this appliance after a week of purchasing ice for coolers. Needless to say, felt in a bit of a pinch. Trust the brand and sticker identified where and who built fridge. Liked the quality of plastic used in drawers since they were much sturdier than others in the same price range. Wish I would have spent more to get a larger size tho. The 'conveniently located center' panel for ease of cooling control.....that is REALLY in the way! Otherwise, readjusted shelves to my needs and will be happy with this appliance.
I would have given this unit five stars except for two shortcomings: 1. No Light in the Freezer! I never thought to ask when I selected this model. All freezers I have owned were illuminated. 2. No temperature control for the freezer! Again, I never looked for one or asked. How much more would it have cost to have included these two simple neccesaries? I would have paid it!
