Hello Howard2a - We're sorry for your refrigerator situation and would like to provide some information we hope will help with the cooling issue: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=21185
If service is needed, your model comes with a full one year warranty that will cover any manufacturing issue. Service appointments may be scheduled by calling 1-800-432-2737 or scheduling online at: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm?ICID=GEARsupportflyout-service
Love it except for keeping the stainless steel doors clean. I had to buy a special cleaner (Bar Keepers Friend) for the refrigerator doors. If I use a common household cleaner it streaks. I didn't know the doors would be a problem before my purchase. I have other stainless steel appliances, but they are brushed stainless steel and I didn't realize this was not brushed steel until I had it in my kitchen. Except for the cleaning issue, it is a great GE appliance. I have other GE appliances and I do not have any issues with them.
No bells and whistles, just an icemaker added and reversed the door swing, which was so easy I did it myself. Cut my energy bill by $30 (not sure if that is a comment on my old fridge or the new, probably both). After having a side by side and then a bottom freezer, I kind of like a top freezer again.
