An excellent basic refrigerator

This fridge is an excellent basic model that accomplishes everything it needs to without annoying technology features. It's a giant bonus that it is Energy Star rated and consumes much less electricity. The stainless steel finish lends a nice appearance that makes it feel more medium to high end. It comes at an excellent price point for what it is. I have not owned it long enough to talk about durability, but it seems reasonably well engineered and constructed.
I owned this fridge for about two weeks, but replaced with another brand. Should have read all reviews on this product before purchasing. It has an annoying buzz that is problematic in a small, open floor plan. Veggies freeze in the bottom at the recommended temps. Poor door shelf layout. Not for me. Maybe in a garage or porch where the noise is not an issue.
bought this refrigerator sight unseen which is bad but was very much in need of one. The cubic feet are deceiving I think. Very small, not much room at all and do not like freezer at top.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello BubbaJ,
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your new refrigerator. We regret you are not pleased with the size of the unit. You may consider selling it. We appreciate your feedback.
We are pleased with the refrigerator that was installed yesterday and confident in GE products as well. There was a large choice in models and we were able to find a GE model that fits into the area that fits where our 20 year old refrigerator was. The Energy Star was a priority for us and we were able to go to a smaller size and get pretty close to the same storage area as our former one. This one runs quietly and was easy to set up. The storage in the door is great for frequently used items. The only concern I have are the racks in the freezer; they do not go straight across as in my former one. I believe it will be difficult to store items on them without them sliding off. I realized this before I bought it, but I would rather have them both going straight across than zig zag as they do now.
