Nice and quiet

I love my GE Refrigerator! I got this one to replace my old GE fridge that I'd had for about 20 years. It's roomy, quiet and keeps things evenly cooled. My only complaint is that the newer model has less flexibility with the door storage. This one has fixed door shelves that I cant move around. There is also a gap between the adjustable glass shelves that was not there in the older model. Otherwise its a great fridge

Great fridge not freezer

We love our fridge however the freezer keeps popping open when you open the fridge section. We have lost a couple items due to melting.

Looks great with my other kitchen appliances

Love it except for keeping the stainless steel doors clean. I had to buy a special cleaner (Bar Keepers Friend) for the refrigerator doors. If I use a common household cleaner it streaks. I didn't know the doors would be a problem before my purchase. I have other stainless steel appliances, but they are brushed stainless steel and I didn't realize this was not brushed steel until I had it in my kitchen. Except for the cleaning issue, it is a great GE appliance. I have other GE appliances and I do not have any issues with them.

Quit cooling after only 3 years

It ran great for the first couple of years. Earlier this year it started making loud sounds, sometimes lasting an entire day. A service call showed "no problems" -- but the sounds still recurred periodically. In the past two months, the refrigerator portion has almost stopped cooling entirely, although the freezer still works. What a contrast to my old Whirlpool, which lasted over 20 years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not cold enough

The freezer is not cold enough after a week. Ice cream is soft, with setting on 8. We just put appliance thermometers in both compartments to see what the actual temp is. I want to return it.
