So far satisfied with product only complaint the freezer shelf and top shelf in fridge appear weak in the middle, sags down when items placed in the middle.

Love the huge capacity in the door and the rubber grips on the shelves that hold them firmly in place. The little drop-back shelf was a wonderful surprise for fitting a taller bottle in front. Icemaker is a little slow, but a small price to for all the other advantages. Clear shelves and fruit/veggie bins allow full visibility.

Too Small & Too Noisy

We purchased this unit because the GE refrigerator we purchased as a second refrigerator 23 years ago (TBX18JPAD) is still running strong. However, this new unit seems to be much smaller in capacity than our old unit, even though they are both rated at 18 cubic feet. The vegetable, fruit, and meat compartments are much smaller. The butter tray is smaller. The freezer is smaller. We just can't fit as much food into this unit as we can with the old one, so I don't see how they can be rated the same capacity. Also, this unit is very noisy and makes strange noises throughout the day and night, freaking-out the dog and making her bark. We wish the front was a textured finish like the sides instead of a glossy black finish. The installers removed the protective plastic film on the front, but the plastic doesn't remove cleanly. It leaves behind shreds of plastic that you have to try and trim off with a razor blade.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice Features/Good Look

I needed a refrigerator that would fit next to a wall in a 30.5" opening. This is difficult to find since the door swing varies on every model. This refrigerator works but the bottom bin still does not open completely but it works great.

I wish the shelves were a bit sturdier though -- feel like I have to be careful how much I put in the middle of a shelf.
