We bought this Refrigerator about three weeks ago. Only problem we have seen is the top glass shelf in fresh food section and top glass shelf in freezer part both sag in the middle. They need to make them stronger. Other than this, it is a good refrigerator.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

THE SHELVES ARE NOT THAT STURDY, THE TOP SHELF BENDS A LITTLE AND COMPRESSOR IS LOUDER THAN I WOULD LIKE. DON'T GET THE ICE CUBE OPTION IF YOUR NOT GOING TO USE IT, TAKES UP MUCH FREEZER SPACE

I decided to purchase it because of the GE brand even though it costed more than other brands. The frig works fine but is noisy. I'm somewhat disappointed.

We bought this several months ago because our other one finally died. I like that the shelves in the door are wide enough to hold a 2 liter bottle of pop, I like the adjustable humidity control for the fresh fruits and vegetables, I don't like there is only one shelf in the door that closes and there are no other drawers for items such as cheese and deli. I also do like the partial shelf that can be made changed to accommodate taller objects but I wished it was a bigger area this adjustable shelf covered.

Like this sleek-looking addition to our kitchen. I was drawn, by word-of-mouth, price and previous positive experiences with GE products. This fridge is large enough for a two-person household...larger families may want to seek more footage. The interior seemed more nicely appointed than other brands we saw. The arrangement of shelves makes the most of available space. There was some adjustment needed ...smaller freezer and shallower door shelves than our old model. There is some operational noise, (humming, etc...) but I hear this is normal & energy saving related, but should be noted for the persnickety out there. The ice maker is fast and productive enough and temperature controls easy to reach. Nice to have an odorless, really cold fridge again, where I don't have to worry about food spoilage..I feel spoiled.
I would recommend this to a friend!
