I bought this fridge, as we have used GE products for a long time.
Very disappointed, that it did not come with a basic light in the freezer compartment. I wanted to upgrade this for a one with light inside, the very next day. The store said, they do no accept even though, it was the very next day. I will not buy GE anymore...We have a lot of choices these days.

I have had this frig for one year and it does a basic job well, but makes a LOT of noise and freq has intense suction with closed frig door that I have to really pull hard to open it. I regret not having a light in the freezer. There is significant shortage in freezer space, even though I live alone. i would not buy this one again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We needed a new fridge that was small enough to fit in our old house. It fits great and has nice space to hold everything we need.

Does the job

Had only a month but is working fine. Set it above recommended cold level and some things froze. So set it at recommended level and is keeping food nice & cold. Freezer keeps ice cream rock hard. A few things bugged me, like the controls up front, which are kind of in the way but you get used to it. Light has no cover so have to very careful not to hit it pulling things out. No freezer light but stated it had one in description, knew it didn't before hand anyway. No big deal. Had a heck of a time cleaning first time possibly because it came wrapped in plastic to protect it. Tried stainless steel cleaner and seemed to make it worse. Went with hot water and paper towels, that got it better. Shelves are adjustable on door, which is nice. Very quiet for me. Not sure what someone expects, others seem to think it is noisy.
I would recommend this to a friend!
