Good basic refrigerator

I am pleased with this refrigerator. There is plenty of room in the freezer and the size
works well for a small family. I prefer the glass shelf section, but the wire shelf is fine
for many items, so all in all this is a good basic refrigerator.

I bought this as an extra fridge for the garage to help manage food storage at family dinners. The black is perfect for hiding dirty hand prints from both my husband and Grandkids. We really appreciate the extra-large freezer compartment and the energy rating.

The only thing that keeps it from being excellent is occasionally it's really noisy when it's running. Not sure why that is.

replaced an LG which was very quiet never any noise when running this one is a little noisey but I am told the LG uses a direct drive motor for the compressor which is why it is very quiet this one does not have as much room as my older GE but I guess I will have to live with the compressor noise.Hard to believe a once great company as GE could not use a direct drive for their motors.

Only half of one shelve is glass. The rest are wire so thing can leak down to next shelve. No temperature adjustment in lower section you can rotate the knob but nothing happens temperature stays the same always.

I think I am done with GE

Poor quality, freezer does not have a light, there is not a grill on the front bottom, issues with wheels, freezer design is awful I had to buy baskets and trays. This is the third and last GE appliance to let me down this year, two have already gone to the landfill.

door does not close on its own you have to push it
