The original glass jar that came with the blender, chipped so I replaced this with the plastic jar. It's been perfect! I will not have to worry about chipping, and it's light-weight, too. Couldn't been happier.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I had to purchase this plastic jar replacement because my glass jar broke. I wanted to purchase the glass jar replacement but they are all out and no idea when they will get them in again. The plastic jar is average, doesn't fit the blender as tight as the original glass jar but is useable. Happy I can continue to use this blender.

Flimsy cheap materials

I bought this blender jar to have an extra for making smoothies with my approximately 15 year old Oster 12-speed blender. Compared to the original jar, this replacement is very flimsy, the lip on the top is just cut plastic instead of molded, and the top is also very thin by comparison. I bought the blender refresh kit to go with this, and the plastic bottom for the jar is also much worse than the original - it also doesn't quite attach to the blender completely flush. It works, but I wouldn't recommened.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
