[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this 2 months ago, easy set up, put vegetables in set timer is ready the vegetables come out hot and taste great , easy to clean when finished

Bought this and love it used it for blanching beets before freezing. Did a wonderful job. Also used it for broccoli and cauliflower. Would recommend

I have enjoyed my steamer for many years.

I’ve enjoyed my steamer for many years. I have steamed many vegetables and fish in it.
I wouldn’t put one basket inside the other and less they are completely dry, I have had trouble pulling them apart. Other than that I love my steamer.
If it is overused and washed in the dishwasher too many times the perforated holes at the bottom of the basket will eventually crack and break.

Older version of steamer was better

This newer, smaller steamer takes longer to steam food. Also, the timer stopped working after about 10 uses.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Why no rice bowl?

We received this as a gift and were disappointed to learn when we unpacked it that there is no bowl included for cooking rice. Nesco makes a near identical unit but includes the bowl for rice. We used that a ton over the last 10 years & would really like to have had one. Undecided whether to keep or return.

Thank you for contacting Oster®! Our Oster® Double Tiered Food Steamer only includes two steam bowls so you can cook separate foods simultaneously but there's no bowl for cooking rice. This is not a rice cooker obviously. Have a great day!
