Wonderful Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am giving this product 4 stars out of 5. I had some minor trouble getting the extractor assembled correctly, but once it was assembled, I had no issues. It was so much fun to try different fruits and veggies in the juice extractor. The juice was so smooth and free of pulp because the pulp collector removed any excess pulp. I have made fruit juice and vegetable juice with the extractor. The juice seems so pure and clean. I feel like by having this juice extractor, I am on the road to a healthier lifestyle.

Great compact juicer

The Oster Compact Juicer is a great little juicer. It makes easy work of juicing various fruits and veggies. The small chute means you must take time to cut up the food small enough to fit and sometimes juice can fly out as you add fruits. The taste of the fresh juice was amazing and wonderfully healthy. My only complaint is that when I used strawberries some of the juice got below the juicer when I cleaned the appliance. I just hope it doesn't cause a future problem. I really recommend this juicer because it juices beautifully and doesn't take up a lot of counter space. I was given this product in exchange for my honest opinion and these thoughts are my own.

Great basic juicer!

The Oster 400 watt juice extractor worked well as a beginners juicer. It was easy to assemble and use and was not as loud as I had expected. The juice extractor strained the pulp from the juice well. All parts were easily removed for fast and convenient clean up.The only negative points were the pulp collected in the chute instead of the food receptacle the juice cup doesn't attach to the extractor to avoid spilling while in the process of adding your ingredients. I recommend the Oster Juice extractor as a basic juicer that works as described. I received this product to test in return for my honest review of this product.

Compact yet powerful juicer!

I have to say that this juicer gets the job done for its compact size! It's a great addition to my kitchen gadgets and it comes in handy when I need to make a drink while I'm short on time. The only feature that I would change would be making the area where you are sticking things to be juiced bigger. It's difficult to put something in there without cutting it into smaller pieces first. Other than that, it's a great appliance to have! I received this juicer in the mail to test out, and it exceeded my expectations. If I was researching juicers this would be one I would highly consider. It is a wonderful juicer.

Hard to clean

This juice extractor is compact in design, similar to the size of a coffee maker. The blades on the juicer seemed to work well, however, it seemed to create more pulp than actual juice. I felt as if I was wasting so many fruits and vegetables. I juiced five different fruits and vegetables and had about 1/4 cup of juice. The juice was delicious.
There are six removable pieces that all need to be washed once you are done using the juice extractor. The clean up work hardly seemed worth it to me considering it produced such a small amount of juice. I followed the recommended cleaning instructions. You will need a small brush (not included) to clean the blades off. Also, the rim (not the blades) on the metal insert piece is so sharp that it cut my finger while I was cleaning it. Overall, not worth all the hassle in my opinion.

Love my first juicer!

You name it, this juicer can juice it! I love this juicer and recommend it to all my friends. This is my first juicer and I'm extremely pleased, especially with the freshly juiced flavored lemonades that I've made by juicing lemons. **I received it as a product to test**

Nice compact juice extractor for the price

I received the product free of charge to use the product and provide a review.
The compact juice extractor performed as advertised and expected. The juice extractor did a nice job extracting the juice and separating the pulp.
I found out after my first use of the extractor the fruits and vegetables need to be cut down to a smaller size than I thought to fit into the small opening do to the small size of the feed chute.
Be careful when dropping the fruit or vegetables into the feed chute with the juicer turned on. A few times the fruit or vegetable hit the blade disk as it was spinning and shot back out the feed chute.
Overall the juice extractor performed well. I do feel the feed chute could be a little bigger.

Interesting product overall

Overall I think the Juicer was an average small appliance. The small parts required substantial cleaning. The juice was good, and the juicer performed well grinding up the fruit. I made homemade orange juice. It does take additional time, so it's not something I would use very often. The quality of the actual product itself was average, everything was plastic except for the blades. I think this product could be made to be more compact, it takes up more counter space. Overall it would be something I would use when I had extra time or on a holiday.
