Very disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The range works well but I particularly bought this one because it doesn't have the solid black top and didn't think it would mark as easily - wrong - I have been very careful with it but the top hasn't held up well - I've only had it a few months. If the look of the top is important to you, I would not recommend this one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works fine but oven takes a long time to warm up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased our GE oven in April 2012 and it works fine. The burners heat up nicely and the warmer is a nice feature. Our biggest complaint is the amount of time it takes for the oven to get up to the set temperature. It takes 20 minutes or so for the over to heat to 425. In the process of coming up to temperature there is a somewhat loud clicking noise every few minutes that is just plain annoying. I'm sure it is normal for this model, but I never heard anything with our old oven. It also takes some getting used to when using the function pads since it seems one needs to press extra hard on the pad. It's almost as though you press the button, then need to hold it to ensure it actually activates the circuit. Again, I'm sure it's normal, but something that takes some getting used to. I hate to say it, but it's like the newer appliances on the market aren't made as well as older ones.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Happy with purchase

I have only had it a short time, but compared to my old coil stove, the heating elements heat up fast, maintain a great temperature, and are great to cook with. I am hoping to maintain the look of the smooth top, so I try to clean it after each use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product was a replacement for a Kenmore with equal or better features. My only complaint is that the right front burner is way too large for a family of two [at 11-1/4 inches with a pan having to COVER the burner] and the dual burner [which I use the most] is on the wrong side [left] for my kitchen. I will say, however, that I did a lot of research both online and at actual stores and that many other brands had even larger dual burners [including Kenmore]. When you're only cooking for two people it is NOT practible to use that big of a pan for most meals. I had the warming burner [5th one] before and I like that feature on this product as well.

This product has some nice features.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered this product to replace an existing GE stove. The features I was interested in are the various sizes of the burners, the glass top and the boost to boil.
Unlike another review, I found that the preheat was so much faster than our previous unit. The constant clicking is annoying. In setting the temp, timer, etc. I frequently forget that in addition to the setting, I have to push another button just to begin the action.
Personally, I much prefer the black glass top but this unit had the other other features I was interested in.
I would recommend this to a friend!
