amazingly quiet

Large capacity & efficient

We had limited space so wanted a unitized model. This has both large washer & dryer drums. Easily took large load of towels. Very quiet running, options for load size. Extremely happy with our purchase!

Disappointing

A few weeks after brand new item was delivered, it had to be swapped out. Was without washer/ dryer for a few days. On both machines, washer tub was very loose from day one. The dryer lint catcher is made of hard plastic with very sharp edges and it does lay flat into the whole. Clothes get ruined after getting snagged by sharp edge. The washer makes weird noises and it is also very noisy. Sounds get worse with larger loads. Technician (washer broke down less than 2 months after purchase) said that the loose tub is a "new design". I could've lived with the noise, but with the 2nd machine, the clothes are coming out of the dryer with thick black lines that are about 3-4 inches long and stain cannot be removed. It looks as if they had been marked with a thick black sharpie. My brand new, 800 TC, white Egyptian cotton sheets just got ruined! So it's bye, bye, bye to this GE washer & dryer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Extremely Noisy

I just had this stackable washer/dryer installed yesterday and couldn't wait to use it. I thought a jet was taking off in my laundry room. It is so noisy, that I'm starting to wonder if this is normal. I've never had a washer that is this loud. So far the clothes are coming out fine, but the noise is driving me crazy already.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Our 19-year-old stack unit finally died and after doing much research, we chose this GE model. My only concern was that the rinse temps were all cold and where we live, cold water is ice water. The washer senses this and injects hot water so that the rinse is just the right temp for the clothes and for my hands. It is very quite, both washer and dryer, and I think, washes and dries much faster than any other units I have owned. I am a disabled senior living in a tiny condo. This washer-dryer makes it possible for me to stay in my home and age in place.

I have had this for a couple weeks and am so happy i bought this model, and i also bought the extended warranty for 5 years, it was very inexpensive for the warranty

I am pleased with this W/D , it is efficient and cleans clothes well. The only thing I don't like is the dryer tends to break buttons off of shirts.
