Using It Everyday!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This electric kettle is a plastic 2 piece unit for boiling water. I was using a drip coffee maker to heat water for coffee, hot tea and ice tea. Well, not any more! This kettle heats water twice as fast as the coffee machine and heats it to boiling which is crucial for making tea. I love that it shuts off automatically once the water has come to a full boil. It is so easy to fill because the entire top is hinged to open. The water level is easily seen thru the clear water window that also has marked measures. I did add a line with a perm marker on the outside of the window to perfectly fill for my french press coffee maker and one cup of tea (our daily breakfast routine.) The plug/cord and heating plate are one unit and stay cool. you lift the kettle from the unit to pour/serve the hot water. I've always wanted one of these and I'm really liking the Hamilton Beach product.

Perfect for Hot Tea and Cocoa!

Great cordless kettle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family and I have been using this product for about a month now and are very happy and satisfied with it.
Compared to our previous non-HB model, this kettle has a large capacity (1.8L) and rapid water heating. The fact that it's made of durable plastic, please don't drop it, means it's easy to clean both inside and out without leaving water residue inside the kettle. The window on either side allows direct view of the water level in the kettle. With the added line markings one can tell how much water is in the unit.
I would have preferred the power cord on the handle side instead of the spout. The outlet in our kitchen is under the cabinet and as the water heats up the steam comes up under the cabinet.
