Faster than a microwave - safer than a stove top

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family and I are so happy with this kettle. We all began to drink more tea, but it seemed to take forever to boil water on the stove. Now that we have been using the Hamilton Beach Kettle, we are impressed that the water heats so fast and by the time we get a teabag, the water is already boiling. The speed with which the kettle heats is so incredible, and, even better, it has an automatic shut off. Now we keep thinking up other menu items to boil water for and, as a start, also use it for ramen noodles, coffee, hot chocolate and soups. It's attractive enough to keep on the counter. Another feature I like is the way the pitcher lifts off the base for easy pouring.

Sleek and Fast!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this electric kettle a few days ago and have used it daily since. It has replaced the kettle on my stove that was always in the way when I was cooking. It is very fast at boiling the the water. Even at full capacity it boils in about 3 minutes. It also looks very nice on the counter. Very sleek. Highly recommend. Wish I'd gotten one sooner!

I love this kettle!

It heats up water super fast and I love that it automatically shuts off after it gets to a boil. I leave the kettle sitting on my counter all the time because I use it so much. Nice slim design means it does not take up too much space. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a way to heat up water that is better for you than the microwave and faster than the stove.

Great Electric Kettle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is great kettle for making hot water. I find this to boil water alot faster then my tea kettle that I used on my stove. I did say used....since I have this great kettle I will not being using the stove one. I love the great wide mouth filling area and very easy to clean. I like the fact that when done boiling it has automatic shut off and when ready to use just lift off base and pour. I also like that there is a screen mesh that is built in to the spout pouring area. I would recommend this to a friend. Great value for the price.

Easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a Cordless Plastic Kettle to try and review. I've had a few weeks to use the kettle. I unpack aged it and filled it with water. Very easy directions. I plugged it in and flipped the switch on the kettle to heat the water up. It didn't take long to get boiling water. When it was finished it clicked and the water was perfect enough for a hot cup of coffee. It took roughly 6 minutes and 45 seconds to finish heating up at full capacity. I only had one complaint and that was while I was filling it up the lid was loose feeling and rested on my hand instead of it being able to stay up on its own. I really like the kettle. I can lift it up off the heating system to bring it anywhere in the kitchen or to the sink to fill it up. Very simple to operate. I like that it has a debris screen where the water pours out in case there is an impurity in the water.

I Love This Kettle!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This all plastic model replaces a metal electric kettle for me and there is no comparison between the two. The plastic kettle is so much lighter than the metal so that it is much easier to handle when full of water, and much easier to pour, too. The light on top makes it easy to tell when the water has boiled - it goes out and the power turns off. I wish there was an audible beep, too, so I could leave the kitchen, but water boils very quickly in this kettle and the lack of an audible signal isn't really a problem.
Simply put, this is an excellent electric kettle and I am very glad that I have it. It is extremely lightweight and boils water far more rapidly than any other kettle I have ever used.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As soon as it arrived, I followed the first time use directions. I was amazed at how fast the water came up to temperature! Looks great on my counter, heats water really fast. I would not only reccomend this, but I'd give it as a gift!

Gets the water Hot

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all when I unpacked the kettle and other pieces there was a little piece that looked something like a filter. There was nothing in the instructions about it and nothing on the box, either. I couldn't see anywhere where it could be attached. In the photo of what was included in the box or on the box or that was in the instructions there was nothing about it. Puzzling. On the box it stated it heated water faster than in the microwave. I timed it to the fill line and it took 6 minutes. I then timed it to half filled and it took over 3 minutes. The readout on the two windows on the sides were in Liters which I don't use. I use cups or quarts or pints. The water did boil and was very hot. The kettle itself did fit easily into the Power Base. The cord wasn't even 2' long so the plug has to be close to an outlet. When filled to maximum the kettle itself was very heavy and even when half full it was very heavy. For someone (which I am) that is elderly it is too heavy to pour. It took both hands to pour and was still heavy. All in all I was not very impressed with this kettle. I would not recommend it to anyone especially the elderly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
