So I bought this blow dryer not even 4 days ago! And it's already blew up it actually caused Burns on my stomach!! at first I thought..lol it was my crazy self! But then I looked inside on the end where you pop open to clean out the vent and I'm guessing that the blade is either plastic or glass and it had completely shattered!!! Now I need to say that this is the second kind of blow dryer in this style that I have gotten that I've had this issue with! Evidently the quality just isn't there like conair used to be I hate to say it but it may be true!! I actually love their styling brush it's amazing especially for people that have curly hair but as far as this blow dryer a great big NOOOOOO
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great dryer-while it lasted

I'm an avid buyer of Conair hair dryers and have been for years. I purchased the turbo dryer for another model which part burned out, which caused the dryer to work only with cold blowing air, not warm or hot.
As for the turbo dryer, it was a good replacement, and it was nice to have a dryer which blows warm/hot air, cutting drying time in half or more. It worked well, I liked the way it styled my hair, except, burned out after just 8 months. An inner wire burned through. When I tried turning it on inside the dryer turned bright orange, and I was afraid it would catch fire. It made no sound or anything, it had just died. Needless to say I was mad. The dryer was registered, but it would be cheaper for me to just replace it then send it in to get repaired. I'm hoping the dryer I replaced THIS one with lasts longer than 8 months, since I can't keep replacing hair dryers.
Would I recommend? Well, I'm going to leave that up to you. Since just because it happened to me doesn't mean it'll happen to you.

When I bought this hair dryer I was hoping for what my last Conair features were. This one does not fold up like my last one and therefore takes up a lot of room in the drawer. If it folded I would give it 5 stars.

I’ve used and abused this dryer for months now, and it’s STILL going strong! With other dryers it has taken me upwards of 30 minutes to take care of my long, thick mane, but this one does it in about half the time. It’s been so amazing!! The only downside would be that isn’t very easy to clean out hair caught in the filter, but it’s rare that any gets in there in the first place.
I would recommend this to a friend!
