When I bought this hair dryer I was hoping for what my last Conair features were. This one does not fold up like my last one and therefore takes up a lot of room in the drawer. If it folded I would give it 5 stars.

Great dryer-while it lasted

I'm an avid buyer of Conair hair dryers and have been for years. I purchased the turbo dryer for another model which part burned out, which caused the dryer to work only with cold blowing air, not warm or hot.
As for the turbo dryer, it was a good replacement, and it was nice to have a dryer which blows warm/hot air, cutting drying time in half or more. It worked well, I liked the way it styled my hair, except, burned out after just 8 months. An inner wire burned through. When I tried turning it on inside the dryer turned bright orange, and I was afraid it would catch fire. It made no sound or anything, it had just died. Needless to say I was mad. The dryer was registered, but it would be cheaper for me to just replace it then send it in to get repaired. I'm hoping the dryer I replaced THIS one with lasts longer than 8 months, since I can't keep replacing hair dryers.
Would I recommend? Well, I'm going to leave that up to you. Since just because it happened to me doesn't mean it'll happen to you.

Doesnt last long

Fan blades randomly exploded after only a few months, scared the bejeezus out of me. Judging by the other reviews this is apparently common with this model. Gonna be getting something different

Not Hot Air

The only reason I gave 2 stars was because it turns off and on. Got as a gift found out it was missing the diffuser. Oh gift with no receipt to be specific. Store would not let me exchange or just give me a diffuser from another new one and write that one off as missing a piece. To hard of a concept for them. BTW, not much difference in "high" and "low". On most dryers that means or is part of the heat setting. This one is just more or less air volume.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great, long lasting blow dryer

I bought this blow dryer two or three years ago. It's a great dryer, still going strong except for the fact that I ruined the lint filter by brushing it to roughly. I'm trying to find out where to get a replacement filter. It's almost impossible to find one
