Sweet Sidekick

I've had the phone for almost a week now, only have a few issues, nothing that's not expected with an andriod phone. I hope the 2.3 update includes more options to personalize the phone. Other than that I love it. The battery life isn't bad at all, if you use the phone and have a million apps it's not going to last long.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Lightweight, screen size, cameras, battery, not a lot of carrier junk on the phone.
Cons: unable to personalize, not a lot of widgets, os not on 2.3
I would recommend this to a friend!

freezes all the time. vary hard to get through menu.
Pros: Inexpensive, Durable
Cons: Poor quality, Not high def, Did not meet expectations

Great features when service works

I bought this phone for my daughter, however, she constantly has to swap her sim card out to use her old phone because the phone doesn't always get service. This phone works when it wants - I think it's too smart and has a mind of its own. Don't know why it has intermittent service but when its being stubborn text messages don't go through nor calls. I have taken the phone to t-mobile on numerous occasions unfortunately they have no answers, yet my daughter still likes the phone and enjoys using during the times it does work properly.
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Freezes often

Generally decent phone, but the touch screen freezes very often. This is annoying. Considering a different phone.

The text message alerts appear on any screen and the light comes on as well to notify you. The design is sweet and gives you a keyboard that is smooth to type on. Long battery life and easy web access. The camera is exceptional! There is a lot to learn from the Sidekick, but it's well worth it. I would say it is the best smart phone I have ever used.
Pros: Durable, quick charging

I want to upgrade. This phone is whatever. At first I was into the design the keyboard but after purchase and during everyday use my conclusion is this phone has many disappointing characteristics.
I hate the buttons pushing against my ear durning phone calls.
The slide screen is nothing special and I thought it use. To twist and spin.

Better then my Blackberry

My Blackberry was dieing on me and I decided to take a chance on the Sidekick. So far it has been great. Although not the most user friendly. My only complaint so far is that I don't have the option to close each app but rather have to keep going back until i'm out of it. This makes the battery life even worse. I normally don't go a day without charging my phone at least once.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight
Cons: battery life
I would recommend this to a friend!
