Range Top Cracked!

Loved this stove until the other night when the range top cracked completely across the left burner to where you can push down on the crack. I just purchased another GE Profile (PB911SJSS) because it was so expensive to replace just the glass top. I have never had this happen before and wanted to make sure I reported the problem with this range. Pictures of the range would not upload.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Yet another 3 year old GE Appliance

Here I go again, we purchased GE Stainless Steel appliances for our house when we moved in and a month after writing a review on my side by side refrigerator after the 2nd time having to fix it, I have a stovetop that only has two burners that are working.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is my first smooth top range. I love everything about this product! The various sizes of the burners and the warming burner make cooking large meals super easy! I purchased this product on Christmas Eve and just in time to cook my annual Christmas breakfast for the whole family. I didn't even have to read the manual to figure out how to use it. The knobs and buttons are clearly marked and very easy to use! I love having 3 racks in the oven! I put several things in the oven at once and used the convection and the biscuits cooked evenly, and everything else was perfect, too! The warming drawer is one of my favorite features. It is very roomy and holds 2, 13X9 pans, with room to spare. It keeps food at the perfect temperature and even has various temperature settings for the warming drawer, also. Not only does this range meet every need, it looks awesome, too! It has a large window for viewing the food in the oven, the shiny smooth top is easy to clean, and the large, curved door handles are easy to grasp. I would recommend this product to anyone! It's well worth the money!

Wish I could get my money back

I bought this unit Aug 2012. I absolutely hate the oven. The temp is not accurate at all whether I am using the convection or regular oven. Am I the only one whose temp is inaccurate? I have used an inside temp gauge to verify the temps are off. I know it is accurate. My old oven never wavered when set on 350 deg and I miss it. This unit cyles off and rarely cycles back on to maintain the temp. So when I do check it, I find the range if off by 30-40 degs lower than set temp. My internal thermometer confirms this. Sometimes when it's set at high temps like 425, its actually 475. It is NOT consistent and I hate it. Unfortunately I can't aford to buy another one or I would. The top burners work well and I like them but I just can't get over the oven temps. And I love to cook!

This product has a great feature

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For the first time in many years we have found an oven that cooks food both top and bottom at the same time. In the past, the majority of foods cooked in other ovens were either not done at the bottom or not done at the top. I have the highest praises for this convection oven.

Big change in past 30 years

I had a GE double oven which lasted over 40 years from the prior owner. This oven heats up much faster and features such as the digital temp display, convection mode and smooth top make cooking so easy. The oven was purchased two months ago and no problems at all.

A range with everything one could need.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This range was selected for its beauty but we found it has more features than we imagined. We love the quick boil elements especially and use them often. The element with three sizes is very useful for finding the correct one for the job. The warming element is perfect for melting butter. Convection cooking saves energy and is faster than conventional baking.
