Nice appearance and good features but a bit loud

It looks very nice and has significant space to hold everything needed for a family of 4. The only downfall I've seen is that it can be loud with vibration when in full cooling mode.

Icemaker Issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had to have the icemaker water line repaired twice in 3 months as rear vent fan blows directly on the water line, GE fixed with no issue at no cost both times. Great service

This refrigerator has many good qualities

We bought this fridge after the one that came with the house sputtered out,we have had many GE appliances and knew of their build quality so the decision was not that hard. After we installed it we realized there were some things we would have to get used to as far as storage space,it seems to have less shelf space than our old side by side . That being said I believe it will just take a little more time of using it to make better use of the space,overall we are pleased with our purchase.

Very Disappointed

Purchased this unit to replace a 22 year old GE side-by-side unit that was still working perfectly. We wanted another GE product and liked the extra freezer drawer. However, we have been VERY disappointed in the space utilization in the refrigerator portion of the unit. The icemaker takes up almost the entire lineside portion of the left hand door. The shelves have very little height and a have a very limited area to place higher items such as milk cartons, wine bottles, juice jugs, etc. The right hand door also has very limited shelving space. This unit is not Energy Star certified. Would not purchase again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I absolutely LOVE this refrigerator. It has a very stylish look with the two drawers on bottom and not just the single. It looks fabulous in our kitchen along with the rest of the GE Profile line. The only thing I believe I would change is on the right bottom side of the door there is a spot for you to put drinks and I think I like the whoel try there instead of just a few drink holders. Overall though, beautifl refrigerator and very spacious.

We got this fridge and have lost all the food in it twice. The first time, I was told it was the sensor blocked in the fridge section. A package of Yogurt was setting on the top shelf next to the sensor. The second time, it was a small crack in the freezer door? We had to unplug the unit for 48 hours to resolve. Now we are paranoid. We constantly are pushing on the freezer doors and making sure nothing is near the sensor on the top shelf. Sadly, our last ancient fridge had gapping holes in the seal and never gave us one problem. Hopefully, the next model will be improved.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
