We needed a smaller fridge that matched our other appliances for a good price. I'm glad we bought this fridge.

Energy saver

it was time to replace our 15 year old Maytag refrigerator with a more energy efficient model. After reviewing several models we chose this one. It is the same size as our Maytag but uses less electricity. Our old fridge used approximately 250 KW more a year than this one. We like all of the features on the new Fridge except the door storage pockets in the Freezer which are half as deep as our old Fridge. This means that items that were previously stored in the Freezer door storage pockets now take up room in the Freezer. Whirlpool should supply an upgrade kit for wider door bins on this model.

Refrig performs fantastic - the shelving and interior room for food is what fits my small kitchen. It runs very quiet.

A well-designed space for food

Handy milk-gallon sized shelving in door. Convenient full-width deli tray.Roomy, boxy freezer (w/o an ice tray). Far more quiet than our previous fridge. Easily cleanable. Door shelving allows us to sort condiments into groups we generally use together. Adjustable door shelves allow accommodation of various height wine bottles. Door tip-out shelf handy for easy access to some frequently used foods. We love the fridge, and we are looking forward to the money its energy-efficiency will save us.

Much less space than I expected

This product is just okay. The freezer has much less space than I expected- I actually had to purchase a chest freezer to fit all my items. The refrigerator has sturdy shelves but they do not adjust so one shelf is pretty short. The top shelf is low in the middle so things like milk and juice cartons don't fit under it.Overall, I would not recommend this product unless you don't plan on having a lot of groceries in your fridge (we are only a family of 3).

It's Just OK

I should have shopped around. Need a fridge that fits into space in my little kitchen. That's about all I can say for it. Shelves are not very adjustable. Skinny-no depth, full width cheese drawer is silly. Freezer door pockets too narrow, very little fits. Outside of front is curved-who thought of that? Made hanging my Daily System whiteboard calendar just about impossible.

Interesting Features, but Loud

The old side-by-side that was left by the previous home owner quit unexpectedly and I wanted to get a top-freezer model so I could keep large items in the freezer. Unfortunately, there were very few Whirlpool models of any kind available in my area for immediate delivery, so I chose this model. I like the in-door storage for milk and soda cans, and love having a large, lighted freezer, but I'm disappointed in the arrangement of the shelves in the refrigerator. I had to remove the middle shelf in order to store 2-liter bottles upright on the bottom shelf, and had to lower the top shelf to make room for my water pitcher. Instead of having 3 shelves, I now have 2. Also, I have to bend down in order to see and pull items off the top shelf. (I'm 6'2" tall.)The freezer and refrigerator work well to keep food cold, but it is louder than the previous one. I can hear it turn on and off from my bedroom at the opposite end of the house. (1650 sq. ft. ranch.)I like the outside style except for one thing. The handles have sharp edges. Even a slight rounding would've been better.Mine does not have the built-in ice maker, so I can't comment on that.
