wireless printer

I really like the printer. It was so cheap and it does everything much better than my separates ever did. Not having to plug the laptop into it means I have the printer stashed away in a corner and it still prints when I am on the sofa or another room. I scanned loads of old snaps of grandparents and kids, etc and the quality is superb. it has enhanced the originals a lot. I cant say enough about it. A great deal and very easy to set up and use.

I bought this because I acquired an IPad 2 and wanted a wireless printer which is economical with buying Ink. It arrived quickly. It was easy to set-up. Allowing Home sharing or Network with my main PC, Laptop and Ipad; This enabled all Computers to print wireless. To date I have found it very efficient and not particularly noisy. An excellent machine and relatively cheap to buy.

Speed

Normal text docs. fly through, but, more complicated ones, i.e. with photos, graphics or clip art, vary in speed. Sometimes they print in ten seconds; other times it can take 15 minutes for one A4 sheet. I wondered why this is.

OK, but some annoyances

This seems to be a good day-to-day printer, although I haven't tried printing onto photo paper yet. The annoyances are that it occasionally disconnects from the Wi-Fi so that I have to go through part of the setup process again on my laptop (the PC directly connected to the router does not have the same problem). It's easy enough to solve, but it's annoying, and my non technically-minded partner won't have a clue how to solve it. The other annoyance also affects my laptop - when the printer is switched off, we get the swirly circle (Windows 7 equivalent of the hour-glass) every few seconds. I assume that this is some kind of spooler service trying to connect. Again, not the end of the world, but just annoying.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Yes it is a good clear printer but I do have a problem with the cable that connects to the little box it is not a tight fitting and just comes out all the time. I have fixed it with an elastic band which keeps it tight but maybe not a good thing?

This printer is very good value, the printing quality is good and the ink cartridges last a lot longer than my old printer and are a lot cheaper. I have got it set up on my notebook and desk top computor so I can print off any paper work form any where. The printer is so easy to set up just follow the instuctions on screen. Photo printing is good but does use a lot more ink. Photo coppying is so easy too.
