It prints, copies and scans. Does all it said it would do, at a good price. I am more than happy with it and would recommend it as good value for money.

The price of this product, the cartridges are a little expensive. The problem is with all ones of this nature is the color cartridge has all colors in which means when one is done, the whole cartridge has to be replaced- hardly eco friendly or cost effective. The software I find at time cumbersome particularly when trying to control the printer in the scan mode from the computer as some instructions lead you to the printer which then overrides the computer instruction. Other problems are the software over estimates the amount of ink in the cartridges, which has caused problems with some photos I wanted to print on photo paper. here again is a problem, that if you go into the print resolution the software overrides it based on the paper one chooses. The alignment, using the scanner is a good idea, but wastes paper and ink when it is done every time a new cartridge is place in. Printer in wireless mode can be very slow, particularly when others are on the same network, this would indicate too small a memory in the printer. As a scanner it copies very well and has a very good color match with the original. A problem I have found is the printer often fails to recognize paper in it and does not always pull it in. The quality of the print is very good as is the scanner. Overall with a little improvement this could be a bench mark printer.

I bought HP as we have used them a work and I was pleased with that printer for 5 years. I bought this but it is totally different. It has a very poor plastic cabinet. The cartridges are a nightmare to replace. You have to get down on your knees to get them in and I am afraid of forcing the plastic cradle and braking it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have generally enjoyed my HP deskjet 3050A e-all-in-one printer series, i am happy that i do not have to change both coloured and black and white ink until each is finished, i recommend it
