THE 3050A IS EASY TO SET UP, ALL FUNCTIONS WORKED 1ST TIME AND WERE IMPRESSIVE.

I was very disappointed to find that my new HP printer was faulty - had to be returned to merchant. My second (replacement) was ok but came with a faulty installation disk. Clearly there are some quality control issues for HP to review.
I chose the HP 3050A as a logical replacement for my HP F300 printer, which I happily used for 5 years but has recently started to fail.
In the absence of a working installation disk I downloaded the necessary drivers from the website. I was impressed with the wifi facility and the quality of basic colour copying. I have had less success with the quality of photos printed from my laptop; tends towards an orange tone and ink smudges - very messy if glossy paper is used. Standard A4 paper is fine.
Overall I would rate the printer as good for general daily requirements, but would not recommend for printing photos.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Value

This is a small ideal product for my home use. I have only had it a few weeks but the quality of the print is excellent. Extremely easy to set up. If it lasts as long as my previous HP (10 years) I will be more than satisfied.

I have only ever purchased HP products. I find the after service is very efficient. I needed a printer that was not too complicated to operate and found the HP 3050A very modern, compact and very easy to operate. The fact that the printer is wireless is amazing and very easy to set up! I am now able to print off more than one laptop as well as my mobile. The most important factor is the ink is not too pricey, which is a big plus. Brilliant product!
