I bought this to replace a GE Microwave with almost identical features as in the previous model. Slightly different button locations, but it has added features such as a four speed fan and a "Soften" feature that will probably be used. The first one lasted fourteen years and I imagine that I will get the same or close to the same service from this one. GE has a solid reputation for kitchen appliances.

We purchased this microwave to replace our old profile that was 14 years old. We love all the features. There's nothing I would change about it. It's perfect!

Bought this in May to replace my previous GE Microwave. No comparison. This one has the buttons in all different locations, not logical locations. Have to hunt and peck for them. The turntable plate wobbles as it doesn't seem to fit in the holder/guide properly. The outcrops or bumps inside the microwave make it difficult to clean. They changed the shade of Bisque. I have all GE Profile appliances in Bisque and now the microwave and my new dishwasher, that also is horrible, do not match my frig, oven or cooktop. Who ever redesigned this model must not use a microwave in their home.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good replacement

We replaced a GE microwave that was about 7 years old. Too bad it didn't last longer, but that's the nature of manufacturing these days I guess. This new microwave is a fine replacement. GE eliminated some features that the old unit had. I miss those features [delayed start; dual timer], but had little choice in the matter. This unit will serve us well.

When I bought my home, the 3-year old GE microwave was the only appliance I liked. I decided to match all appliances in stainless steel finish. No other microwave had the features that GE had. I love the oversized turntable for larger plates, the time saving express cook buttons. I am very satisfied with the microwave.
