Installed today. One mistake in installation guide pg. 20 says for recirculating exhaust fan to position fan blade openings facing back of oven, then AFTER: Fan Blade Openings Facing Forward.
I'm going to miss the shape of my 20+ year old Spacemaker, where the front slants up on the bottom so it doesn't block my view of the range controls without bending down. I really don't need such a huge oven that overpowers the location, but it looks like I'm a minority in the consumer market as they are all this big.

So happy I bought this Microwave. I love the 30 second add on times and the large capacity it can hold. Heats evenly and has many useful settings.

Nice but no Inside Light

I like the microwave oven however, I am disappointed that it no longer has the inside light feature. You can't see inside when the oven is in use. My old profile series oven did have the inside light. Would never have bought it if I realized there was no light.

No need to compromise on this Microwave. I had purchased a Maytag a little over a year ago that look good because it was stainless steel on the inside and outside, but it did not perform well at all. Additionally, it started breaking down within a week of the warranty expiring. The vent fan on the Maytag would blow the flames from the gas stove everywhere making it virtually impossible to cook things while having the vent on. It also did not heat the plates evenly.
This GE Microwave has since solved all of the problems that I have had with the Maytag. It not only heats everything evenly, but even heats faster. The vent on full blast effectively removes steams from food being cooked on the stove without disturbing how evenly the flames hit the pots. This microwave is amazing. I hope it proves to be reliable as time goes on though.
