This is a well built and well designed appliance. It was easy to install for two people. Super nice to dress up the kitchen. The kids really like the ease of use.

Good unit but beware of the black plastic finish

Purchased this unit to replace a similar over-the-range GE that had failed. Very similar in it's look and operation. Our one concern was that GE has apparently gone to a different glossy black plastic that micro-scratches very easily. The surface was marred during installation and GE sent a replacement door. Unfortunately this plastic will show micro-scratches if wiped with a paper towel or even a microfiber cloth. Would recommend going to a different finish.

I needed a new one after less than 5 years

This is the same GE Profile model type that I had originally purchased but the design has changed. It's OK but I liked the old design lines better.
