Great exhaust fan!

I've had this a few weeks now. It is intuitive and easy to use. It has 4 settings for the exhaust which I love! There are lots of pre-programmed settings but no quick reference on the inside of the microwave so it takes awhile to read the selections as they scroll through.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nice Feature Set & Easy Replacement of Old Model

Bought this to replace previous GE over the range microwave. Very happy that the mounting bracket was identical so I was able to mount the new microwave on the old mounting bracket and I didn't have to mess with that. The power cord location was different but I was able to route the cord through the old hole without too much effort.
I gave 4 stars because while I feel this is a good microwave by today's standards, it seems cheaper in almost every way from my previous GE microwave of 12 years ago. The turntable drive is flimsier, the sheet metal is thinner and where there was a nice cover over the exhaust fan on the old one, there is now a hinged cover. However, there really is no hinge, you have to bend the metal up and out of the way and then bend it back.
I understand things get designed to save cost but also, the warranty on the newer units is only 1 year while older microwaves came with multi-year warranties. I would have taken off another star for this but it seems like almost all microwaves only come with a 1 year warranty now so I left it at 4 stars. it would be a great selling feature in my mind to build the thing a little better and extend the warranty; even if it would increase the cost a little I would be more inclined to buy.
I do like the addition of the "soften" feature for butter.
