Many choices, fan speeds, light great

I purchased this for kitchen remodel less than one month ago. I love it. Timer is wonderful; can override defrost to time, when done it says "your food is ready". The fan speeds are awesome - turbo to low - light as well. Would recommend to anyone.

Breaks!

Having it for 3 years like the other GE profile appliances we have it broke. The repair is almost the same cost of the original microwave and I would never again buy GE Profile. Read customer reviews on other sites we are not the only people who have had a microwave stop working from them.

New House New Appliances

This was the model included in our appliance upgrade for our new house. Had it for 3 months. Works fine and looks great. It has a feature that detects your food for reheating and it works great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good vent fan

Bought this because we needed a stronger vent fan than our old microwave. This has 400 cfm, not as strong as some stand alone vent hoods, but still it works great. The other features are nice for a micro. The negative is this had to fit into an existing spot and it sticks out in front beyond our cabinets more than our old
micro and you can see the black sides. They don't wrap the stainless around to the sides, so its not as aesthetic as we'd like.

Just had this installed - it replaced a 14 yr old GE Spacesaver that finally died. Not to much difference - I do like the interior for easy clean - much quieter running.
Panel easy to read - found the instruction book not necessary with the ease of operating. Only BIG issue - the template didn't match up at all with the top of the microwave and it's thin paper unlike our old one. And the instruction manual - for me to read I had to go online and print it out in larger print. If you have a problem with your eyesight - you'll need to do what I did.. Also printed on cheap paper. Also the roller guide for the plate - it wobbled so bad couldn't use the plate so called for a new one.

Sufficient, but definitely NOT the quality of our previous GE Profile. Cheap plastic

This microwave was a replacement from GE for our original GE Profile Microwave that caught fire TWICE!!!! GE's compensation was to prorate the cost of this oven to us. The only reason I did it was because the other appliances in my kitchen were GE and wanted them to match. The handles on this oven are different from my other appliances. I have had issues with my GE profile refrigerator too. All of my appliances are only 3 years old.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
