The chair works well at a work bench. The only problem was with assembly. The back rest has a plastic holder which goes over a steel post. The plastic had expanded quite a bit during fabrication and a round file was required to remove a 1/2 cm bump. Seems like it was solid plastic, so it works fine - but if you don't have tools to fix things like that, probably not a good choice.
