Didn't realize that a "counter-depth" refrigerator would give me less space...not great room for pizza box, for example! Had to remove a shelf in order to have room (height) for a wine bottle. Ice maker did not work upon delivery/installation and had to have GE repair it. Love all the exterior door features!
I would recommend this to a friend!

The fridge is very convenient and the freezer is large and easy to use - but - we have been disappointed with this refrigerator. It freezes produce in the vegetable crisper. The door to the deli pan sticks when closing; it froze a can of soda placed in the rear of the top shelf and just recently the water in the door just stopped working for several hours and then out of the blue started again. It is also very noisy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Over all this refrigerator is ok,one thing i can't figure out it why things freeze in yhe veggie and fruit drawers,also on the shelves .I have set all the controls where they are supposed to be,but freezing keeps happening....

Terrible Noise Problem

I have had my GE Profile French Door Counter Depth Refrigerator (Model # PFCF1RKZWW) for six weeks. It is very noisy and loud. It can be heard from multiple rooms throughout the house. In all the kitchens I have been in of friends and relatives I have never heard a refrigerator this noisy and with this level and frequency of noise. The retailer’s service man replaced the main control board which did not help. GE then sent out a repair man who said there is nothing he knows of that can be done to correct the noise problem. It is roomy and good looking but the noise level is unacceptable. This level of noise almost all day long is intolerable to live with and I am extremely disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Recurring problems

Vents freeze up, look like little glaciers. Thermostat registers 50-70 deg, thermometers register 30-38. We have to unload the whole upper part to defrost every couple of months, which means we have to unload the freezer too since you can't turn off either of them without unplugging the whole unit. The issue started just months after we bought it,and we paid waaaay too much for this appiance to hire technician to come out for repairs.
If you buy it, be sure to get the extended warranty, but then why would you spend that much for an appliance that NEEDS an extended warranty?
