I had to buy this type of range, the drop in 27 inch model because it is a small kitchen and designed for the original 27" drop in range that was installed. It is fine and works well.

Only Drop-in that fits the opening

We purchased this unit for our mountain cabin to replace the GE drop-in that was installed in 1976. We had no choice but to by GE because they are the only manufacturer of this style and size. The quality, appearance, and performance are excellent.
We love our new stove!!

Fits perfectly to replace previous range.

The best thing about this product is that it fit perfectly to replace my previous range; therefore, I did not have to spend money or time, or be inconvenienced by having to redo my cabinets. Other than that, the range is nothing special. It is your basic design and does what ranges should do. For this size range and it being a drop-in, this model is the only option available, except for its white twin. I haven't had it but just a month, so I can't report on its longevity or tendency for repairs. Everything works well and as expected. The worst thing about it is that they can charge a huge price for a basic product because they are the only ones left who make them, and people are stuck paying a high price for a basic product or else they have to pay to remodel. Such is economics...supply and demand.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Drop-in oven

Inside width of oven is two inches smaller than ge oven it is replacing,oven bake element will not lift up to clean manually, inside surface of oven stains easily and stains are hard to remove manually, cook top coil heat poorly from LO to 5. Should have seen oven in show room before buying. This oven is so much different than the previous ge drop in I've had. All unit controls work so far.

Horrible coils

We could not get the coils to work properly. We bought new pans and as per the recommendations. We could not get these coils to work for frying etc.

Burners with Sensors are not good.

I purchased this range to replace my old broken range which was the exact model. I had it for twenty years until the display went out that allowed me to set the bake temp ect. Never had a problem with it. I ordered this one because it is the only range that will fit in my kitchen. I thought it would be exactly the same. NOOOO. Now, they installed these burners with sensors. It regulates the temps and its difficult to boil water at a rapid boil. The heat goes up and down and does not stay consistent.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
