This stove's oven door had about a 1/4" gap and would not close the way it should. It also had a chip on the enamel on the inside of the oven door.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there,
We're sorry to hear about your oven door not closing fully as well as the enamel coating chipping on the interior of the door. If you would like, you could attempt to remove the oven door and reseat it on its hinges. This could help with the closing issue. Though this following article deals with cleaning between the glass on an oven door, it offers a nice video that shows you how to remove the door. Take a look at the article, here: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=34524
As for the enamel coating chipping, this may be something that a technician would need to take a look at. We would recommend taking advantage of your warranty and scheduling a service appointment or calling and talking to one of our technicians to let them know about this chipping. Should you need to read about the details of your warranty you can do so on pg. 22 of your Owner's Manual, here: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-80696-4.PDF
Also, you can get in touch with our service department through this link: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm
We hope that this helps!
Thank you very much for your review.
Best wishes, Michael

I finally found one since they aren't manufactured any longer. I was unable to use a 30" range due to my cabinet configuration. It replaced my old 27 inch avocado colored one from the 70's. It fit in the space perfectly . I love the updated features however the oven is smaller that my old one. I had to purchase smaller cookie and roasting pans. Overall, very good.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This oven works fine. The price is way to expensive though. The thing I really like about this drop in is that you and lift the top and clean underneath. Just make sure you check the oven out good because when I opened the top it looks like they have not finished painting it.

only stove on market available in 27". We were limited on size and space in our kitchen. Good stove just wish I had more space for full size stove and larger oven.

Everything was good with this product except that there was no indication that the three prong or four prong plug would not be provided. It required a separate call to a certified electrician to install the electric range rather than just a plug and use the electric range. Range was extremely expensive for its size compared to standard size electric ranges.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

awkward to clean.

I don't like the fact that the oven is smaller than the old design. Also don't like the fact that in order to clean the drip pans you have to remove the heating elements. Before you could just lift them and take the pans out. Also don't like the fact that you have no choice put to get a self cleaning oven. But I do like the fact that you can raise the top to clean under the top and the stove cooks faster than my old one. Seems to me the old one was made out of better quality material.
I would recommend this to a friend!
