When the wind blows toward the side of the house where the vent is installed it blows into the vent causing a loud flapping noise.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought KitchenAid Stove, refrigerator & Dishwasher & this is my least favorite piece. I also have KA mixer & many other products so I am a fan of brand. I do not like this one as sounds like jet engine in my kitchen when fan on full speed! I wish someone had told me so loud as would have reconsidered it. Also I had to buy special blower & was very expensive to install (double price w/ install) which was annoying! I just tried to clean the vents & grease pans & that is a drama- very difficult to remove & reinstall- shouldn’t be that hard!

This exhaust fan works amazingly well. We keep it on the low setting, but, if something really needs major exhausting, the power it there, and more, to do just that!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Doing a remodel and wanted something better than the filtered recirc micro combo. This was an expense we hadn't planned on but so happy we did it. Great lighting and good flow.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased as part of a full KitchenAid package for our new home. It has an internal damper that blew out the first week. Repair guy solution was to leave out! Disappointed for the price we paid for this unit.
