Not sure if it’s the new design of the jar, or that my machine is past its prime (over 400 drinks made), but it is not chopping everything up. I’m constantly left with a chunk or two of frozen banana or strawberry that won’t blend in.
I have had this replacement for over 4 months and it is performing well. I like the improved top with the larger pop out which allows for stirring. I think the gasket issue needs to be work on more, but no issues with that as yet.
"We hope you'll write about your FourSide Jar while it's still fresh on your mind." Actually its fresh on our minds daily, since that's how we use it. Would prefer it be made of glass...
Original jar had a bushing failure that caused strips of shredded or melted rubber to appear in our food. The bushing appears to be pressed and molded in, making it unrepairable. That is why I had to purchase a new expensive 4side jar. A redesign would be nice to make the part repairable.
I just bought a new jar -- the old one was leaking after 6-7 years (thanks for the great product!). It's very lucky that my old lid is as good as new (thanks for the great product!), because it's so easy to scrape the smoothie goodness off it with a scraper, unlike from the newly-designed lid. The latter has narrow and curved rut, which requires a small, narrow object to do the job. I don't have such an object; a tea spoon doesn't do a good enough job. I tried the new lid a couple times but eventually shelved it in frustration. I wonder if other folks give similar feedback and if BT would consider going back to the old design in future iterations.
I’ve been a long time fan of Blendtec. My first blendtec that I bought 15 years ago is amazing. I bought a brand new one and it didn’t work as well. I bought a new jar for my old one and it leaves pieces of frozen banana not completely dissolved. Also leaves small protein powder clumps. Blendtec has changed and it’s such a shame.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Blender works great until the seal on the container fails, which is about every 1 1/2 years - if you use it every day... even if you don't.

Hi, we have developed a new jar that has a different bearing configuration which should help the jars last longer.

The rubber seal shredded again on my 3rd jar!!

This is the 3rd jar I have bought for my blender and the rubber seal shredded again after about 2 years of infrequent use! I normally wash the blender with soap and water in the jar on high speed, so it doesn't go in the dishwasher often. During the last use, I was blending oats to make oat flour and the blender started smoking and smelling of burning rubber. When I looked, shredded rubber was inside the jar among the oats! It makes me extremely nervous to continue to use my blendtec even with a new jar because this is a repeat problem and the rubber may have been getting into my food all along...and I only notice it once the blender starts to smell of burning rubber! I am so mad to have invested so much into this blender, and I am not getting the longevity out of it I was promised.
