I bought the blender jar and now my blender is working a lot better. I have found though that I need to buy new blender jars occasionally. My blender base is working well now that I have a new jar. I have had my K=Tec for years but I have had to replace the jar quite a few times..
Our family have had our blenders for over 10 years. the seal at the base of the blender jar has failed on both units. The new jar seem to be an improvement over the previous jars. So far be are very pleased (six weeks of usage).
I bought my 2 blenders around 8 years ago and am barely having to replace one of my jars. I have never owned a product that lasts past its warranty. I use my blenders extensively (2-4 times, daily). I blend my grains into flour; make soups, ice cream, nut milk, salsa. This is a wonderfully made product. I have never been disappointed with my Blentec blender or jar. We love our Blendtec!
Purchased my Blendtec in 2012. Have over 1500 blends. The jar started leaking yesterday, but i've been making daily smoothies all this time. I'm ordering a new jar. Hope to get another 6 years out of it. First problem I've had.
I bought my Blendtec in 2008, but after not having used it in awhile, (like years), I eagerly pulled it out to make some delicious waffles only to find tons of shredded tiny pieces of plastic in my waffle batter! I remembered this shredding happened before, about 3 years after I purchased, and it was covered by warranty. This time I'm out of warranty, so have to purchase a new jar. I wish the bearings/plastic at the bottom of the jars lasted as long as the motor, which is still going strong. Not sure if I'm going to buy a replacement jar, or switch to another brand of blender.
