Heats better than old model

Yes, it does heat much better than old GE. Maybe because of the higher wattage and turn table. BUT do Not like that I have to turn on ceiling lights at night to see the front controls. Why no leds or back lights so I can see where to push. Like the 2 level bottom lights.

excellent microwave

The only reason for the four stars is the placement of the push button controls. They should be in order of most usege, such as having the light at bottom (right column), above that would be vent, add 30 seconds, cook time, timer. Also, would be nice to be able to program the pressure needed to activate a function. Kind of needs a hard push to work. Other than that, I really enjoy the unit. Had an old one and there have been many improvements.Very quiet running.

As part of a kitchen redo, I got this microwave to replace one that was almost the same. I needed one that would recirculate since there was no outside exhaust. I particularly love the " Add 30 seconds" feature and the fact that the timer does not stop after a minute. I do wish, however, that the Cook Time and Timer buttons were reversed because I still keep hitting the wrong one.

I wanted to be able to mount over my stove to save space. I love that, but I was surprised to learn all the great features this microwave has. I am glad I purchased it and would recommend it.
