No Keypad

Micro works as expected, plenty of power for out type use. I miss having a keypad to enter times. Rotary control takes some getting used to. It needs a one touch/minute plus button.

Not as good as the previous 2.0

This model was the replacement for the 2.0 which broke after about 9 years of use. The main problem with the new 2.1 unit is it has no back lighting of the control panel, making it difficult to see in the evening if the overhead lights in the kitchen are not on. Also the exhaust blower makes the same amount of noise at all settings. It seems loud. The control panel overall is more difficult to navigate. It does not seem like an improvement over the previous model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love this microwave! It has so many useful features: softening butter, melting butter, reheating a variety of specific foods, defrosting by food/weight, etc. Too many to list! Food heats up well and evenly. I would've given it a 5-star rating except for the noise and effectiveness of the fan. Very loud and almost useless. Just like my last one (not a GE) so I'm guessing it is a common flaw of over-the-range units. That being said, it is a great appliance!

Excellent over the range unit

This unit is part of a kitchen remodel. Looks great works good. Exhaust fan is very efficient. I am adding a 20 amp dedicated circuit to complete the job
