Really enjoy the way the Family Snack and Food menus are set up. The Family Snack takes the guess work out of how to set the time for cooking certain foods.

I bought this microwave to replace another GE microwave that stopped working. I'm not a power user in the kitchen and use this microwave mainly to heat up frozen meals, popcorn, heat up water. This microwave does everything I need. This microwave has a large capacity and fits everything I have needed to cook. After about 2 months, I realize that I don't like the turning knob as an input method. I prefer a numeric touchpad to enter times. Entering times is annoying since it doesn't let you enter an exact time, but forces you to enter time in increments of 15 seconds. It's also louder than my last microwave. I also don't like the dark interior. If I had to do it over again, I would probably choose a cheaper model -- this may be more an indication of my needs than the abilities of the microwave. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this microwave lasts longer than the last GE microwave I owned.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've had this Micro for a couple of months and we're very happy with it. From the quick 30 sec mode, to the programmable nite light, to the wide variety of cooking options in the extensive menu; it's handled everything we've tried with great results.
