This advantium features not only all of the features we had previously but now we will have the convenience of convection. Larger trays hold so much more.

Show me the light!!!

Even though it has lots of ;features I am So disappointed I don't know what I was thinking I got rid of my over the stove GE microwave convection oven which I loved and bought the advantium which i thought would cook a lot faster 8x, great on potatoes other stuff not so fast. being such a high priced item I thought it would have a light that would stay on but it doesn't if you press the light button it only stays on for a few seconds I like to watch what I am cooking ! This is a real problem for me since I have to continually go to oven to press the button to see what I am cooking instead of looking many times with hands full of stuff and continuing to prepare other dishes. I have never had an oven that didn't have a light or a button that would stay on till the oven itself shut off or I shut the light off Am I not finding the button that keeps the light on? Is there a trick I don't know?

This Microwave/convection is exactly what I was looking for. Easy to use and makes me look like a great chef in the everyday life of a regular Mom!

PHENOMENAL APPLIANCE!

We purchased our Advantium wall oven a year or so after they came out. I use this oven at least 5 times a week, some times every day. There is only my husband and myself in our house, so I use it to bake things like HUGE baking potatoes (in 14 minutes) and a 6-7 lb turkey breast during the holidays (in less than 45 minutes), and it is browned perfectly and the juiciest white meat ever!
We later purchased a smaller "above range" Advantium and use it as our primary microwave as well as for speed cooking.
We are an "all G.E. appliance" house because their appliances last forever! We still have 2 of the original side-by-side refrigerators with the Entertainment Center, allowing access to one inside door shelf. They were purchased in 1986, and both are STILL functioning perfectly, 1 in our garage for additional freezer capacity, and also for things like soda & extra groceries that are used frequently, and the other in our basement.
G.E.'s products are the BEST, and we think that the G.E. Advantium Ovens are the finest kitchen appliances on the market! Thank you, G.E.!

I purchased the Advantium oven for the versatility of the multiple cooking methods so I wouldn't need two bulky ovens and a microwave in the kitchen. Unfortunately, this oven fails at both. It can bake a potato in 5 minutes but that is about all it is good for. The microwave is pathetic. It takes 30 seconds to melt a tablespoon of butter! I tried baking a potato dish at Thanksgiving and it wouldn't get hot enough to really get it cooking and I upgraded to the 240 volt model. I am very disappointed with GE kitchen products. It is way over priced for what it does. Having issues with the GE frig and it is just out of warranty. Will never buy GE again unless it is a light bulb.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased this oven as an extra oven for my single gas range. It turns out that I use this 99% of the time because it is fast, easy, efficient and does a fabulous job. I did not believe the reviews that I read until I actually used it.
