Very different

It's excellent at getting food cooked all the way through ... when it cooks. I was working on a very tight budget when I bought it, and I was not aware of the feature the owner's manual call "rest periods". I get the impression the microwave is supposed to then resume cooking after a short period. Not once. Not ever. It's actually quite irritating if you're trying to do other things and you have to keep walking over to your microwave and hit "play", as it were. But, yet again, a tight budget strikes, and replacing it hasn't been a viable option.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this 6 months ago as our 2nd microwave down in our furnished bar. It has performed perfectly! Easy to use... Good HOT HEAT!! And reasonable price. I recommend it highly!

GE Microwave POOR QUALITY - DO NOT RECOMMEND

This is by far the worst microwave that I have ever purchased. After only a few months, the keypad on the microwave no longer works. The only buttons on the keypads are the 1 minute and 2 minute express cook. ALL OTHER BUTTONS no longer function. Everything that is heat up in the microwave is on the 1 minute express. WILL NOT RECOMMEND GE for anything.
