This microwave will be the 3rd GE I've purchased spanning 30+ years. This one performs just as great as my previous ones. I love the features such as "Add 30 seconds" button & "Defrost by weight" button. The value, durability and easy to use features has kept me coming back to GE.

smart lines, same old problems

Fingerprints on the outside.... why do they call it stainless steel? Who's got time to polish these appliances daily... or even weekly? And the interior is the same white powder-coated metal which will rust out again in 18-24 months. I frequently leave the door open after removing the hot food to let the moist air disapate and slow rusting.... it would be nice if I could shut the interior light off while I let it dry out. Most of my complaints about all my appliances is not in their function, but in their cleaning (around seals, door bottoms, handles, etc.)

It fits a full size dinner plate, but not a full size casserole pan (13" x 8"). Heats up food quickly, evenly.
