I have only had this microwave for about 3 months now. It has been great. My last GE microwave lasted me 14 years, and then the only reason it went bad was because my granddaughter put a metal bowl in it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A "CLASSY" APPLIANCE!!

I'VE HAD THIS MICROWAVE FOR 2 MONTHS NOW &, SO FAR, IT'S FLAWLESS. I DON'T USE IT TO COOK, ONLY TO HEAT THING UP, SO I'M HARDLY AN EXPERT ON IT'S MANY FEATURES. HOWEVER, I HAVE NOTICED THAT IT HEATS & DEFROSTS THINGS VERY EVENLY COMPARED TO THE PREVIOUS MACHINE I'D HAD FOR 16 YEARS. THE ONLY THING I WOULD CHANGE WOULD BE TO HAVE A HANDLE TO OPEN THE DOOR RATHER THAN THE "PUSH BUTTON" OPENER....A MINOR THING IN THE BIG PICTURE. HOPEFULLY THE LONGEVITY OF THIS MACHINE WILL MATCH IT'S QUALITY DESIGN & APPEARANCE....& SINCE I'VE RECENTLY TURNED 71 IT'S NOW JUST A QUESTION OF WHICH ONE OF US WILL GO FIRST!!

Chemical smell

Cook very good however I bought it a several months ago and it still emits an unpleasant chemical odor when operating and retains the odor in the cooking chamber.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It looks nice and has worked ok so far, but the feel of things like the door button do not feel very sturdy. It was cheap so if I get a couple years out of it I guess it will be worth it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Plastic protective cover over the keys peeling

Easy to clean, nice power, but noticed the protective plastic covering over the keys is peeling off. I was cleaning it and though there was something on the Start key and I noticed the plastic covering is coming off on the Start key. I don't think it's suppose to come off.
