This is a very simple microwave unit. It is pretty basic but for the money it appears to have been a great purchase. My wife and I use our microwave a lot especially to defrost items. So far, it has been up to the challenge and has worked very effectively.

The various featues like auto defrost & reheat settings work fine. I strongly recommend this for anyone looking for a mid-sized microwave. I was able to bake a family size frozen baked ziti with no problems.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I moved into a retirement home, and they had a VERY OLD microwave with the dials. I wanted at least 1100 watts, so I went shopping.
I was very surprised at the wattage, because a former microwave I had took over two minutes to cook my oatmeal, and this GE only 1.5 minutes. This GE is perfect.
