Solid smartphone

I moved to this phone from an iPhone 3GS. My wife and I both had an iPhone for four years. I love the WP7 OS; it was very easy to learn/adjust to. The OS is very responsive. The tile system is great; I've got everything that's important to me in the place I want it. The construction of the HD7S is very solid. HTC makes great looking devices that exhibit quality. I considered the Samsung Focus but it felt like plastic in my hands.
I have to admit that I'm a big MSFT fan and love MS Office and Windows 7. One of the reasons I considered a WP7 is for the Office intregreation. I setup my phone to automatically sync to MS Skydrive/Hotmail; all my contacts, photos, and calendar entries now auto-sync to/from the cloud to/from Outlook 2010 on my PC. That's a huge plus to me. On the music side I've synced 1,000 songs from my Zune collection. Music sounds great from the small speaker on the back of the phone; via the included earbuds; and from the cable link to my car stereo.
The HD7S came with WP7 NoDo OS. I'm excited that OS 7.5 Mango will be out soon.
The only con I can think of is the battery life. I can make it through an entire day but I plan to charge it every night. Maybe it's because I haven't put it down for five straight days and am constantly using/exploring it. I believe I will be VERY happy with this phone.
Pros: menus, Wi-Fi capable, ease of use, good for texting, camera/video quality, durable
Cons: battery life

My first Smartphone = iPhone Killer
on December 13, 2011

This is my first smartphone and I am so glad I got this instead of the iPhone 4s. This phone is very responsive, very easy to use, and takes pretty decent pictures with its 5mp camera. If you are a pc/xbox user, YOU WILL LOVE THIS PHONE!
It's integration with XBLA and Microsoft Office is awesome. The siri like searching is very accurate and helpful. (i've found many starbucks' in cities I don't know because of it) Bottom line, it does ALL that I want in a phone plus more
The only inconvenience (NOT PROBLEM) is that the battery is kinda short. I charge it once every two or so days. but if you charge it every night you'll be fine (so the battery really isn't that much of a problem in the end).
The only thing that the iPhone has over this is the amount of available apps. Zune Marketplace is lacking for now.. but I'm confident it'll pick up as it gets more popular. As for now all the major apps are available (facebook, espn, flixster, imdb.. etc) with a plus of a ton of fun free games.
Anyways, if you want an excellent phone, THIS IS IT! It's absolutely great and fun to use. And Not everyone has it!
Pros: tools, menus, Wi-Fi capable, ease of use, good for texting, games, camera/video quality, speaker, durable
Cons: battery life, limited apps (as of 2011))

Great but Not Perfect

I like this phone a lot. I like so many things about it that I won't even speak about the good things but just the bad things. It took some adjusting after being a HTC Tilt 2 user. With this phone, you can't directly sync your computer to Microsoft Outlook. But I figured out a way to sync my Outlook calendar and contacts to a gmail account, and then the gmail account to my phone. If I ever switch to an Android phone, I'll be prepared and won't have to worry about syncing directly from my computer. The speaker phone is of poor quality. It's not as loud as my last phone. And I just discovered that I can't send videos in a multimedia message. And I found the settings feature a little limiting. And it would have been nice to be able to use my external memory card but the memory is internal only. Finally, the ringer isn't as loud as my last phone. Other than these few things, the phone is AWESOME.
Pros: menus, camera/video quality, Wi-Fi capable, ease of use, good for texting
Cons: battery life, volume level, limited memory, operating system

Almost a Great Phone with a Few Annoyances
on July 21, 2011

This is mostly a great phone. I have owned it for about 2 weeks now. I love the WP7 OS and most of the other features of the phone. It is slim, relatively light, sturdy, and has a great screen. The body of the phone is sleek and durable. The screen has the right amount of touch sensitivity and is very bright, vibrant, and clear. The kickstand is a nice touch. The speaker seems to be pretty good compared to other phones.
Here are the potential negatives. There are what look like little speaker grills on the top and bottom of the face of the phone. These attract lint. The volume and camera buttons are very hard to push. Perhaps with some work, they will loosen up, but for now, they impede my ability to use the phone effectively. The camera button, for example, is so hard to push the phone shakes as the picture is being taken. This makes the camera almost useless. Call quality is also a problem. There is a constant, loud hissing sound when using the phone to make a call. The microphone picks up ambient noise and amplifies it through the speaker, which is quite annoying. At times, there is even feedback squealing through. As much as I don't want to give up this phone, the call quality problems might force me to.
Pros: menus, speaker, battery life, Wi-Fi capable, durable, good for texting, screen
Cons: limited memory, call quality, camera quality

The screen is awesome, can enjoy Netflix, sound low but with Headphones it becomes a Cinema experience. The conectivity with Windows Live and Office is awesome and very reliable, great for Office use or School work on the Go. I am an IT Professional and this phone is just the perfect fit.
Pros: tools, menus, camera/video quality, Wi-Fi capable, durable, ease of use, good for texting
Cons: battery life, limited memory, speaker low

Best windows phone I've used so far

I've used the lg quantum and the htc surround, but neither of them compares to this phone, i love the large screen of the hd7s and i love that at&t has the htc titan 4g with the even bigger screen,
The speed is really good on this phone, almost no lag at all. Although the keyboard doesn't vibrate on click it's still very accurate with plenty of space due to the screen size and packed in a very thin package as well.
My friend has the samsung focus and she used mine and said she loved the size as well, people say the large screen doesn't make them want the phone, but having a large screen is so much better and things aren't so cramped as well.
Pros: tools, menus, games, camera/video quality, battery life, durable, ease of use

Best cell I've ever owned!

This phone is by far the best one I've ever used. The MS Office integration is a BIG plus for me. Although it took a little while to adjust to a Windows phone, I am soooo glad I took the plunge. I can't imagine using another phone, including the iPhone. Everything I need is available from my start screen. You can pin anything to it. I love having a live tile for each person I contact often, with every action I can make on my phone : text, call, message or e-mail. Apps I use often are just as easily accessible. The voice recognition is amazing! Rarely does it get a word wrong. With bluetooth you can even hear and speak your texts! I sing the praises of HTC and Microsoft!
Pros: tools, Wi-Fi capable, durable, ease of use, good for texting
Cons: volume level
