Wonderful Stove!

I researched this stove before I purchased it & can't tell you how pleased I am with it! I do a wide range of cooking & baking for sometimes as many as 30 people and have no complaints. For this to be an absolutely perfect range I wish that is came in a 36" width and that it came with 3 wrack instead of 2. The only troubles that I have had are all my own errors. When cooking for a large holiday meal I made a royal mess of both the top & the oven and had no troubles cleaning either (it actuall sat over night...). Other reviews mentioned that the griddle didn't heat the way they expected, that is probably because it is ceramic and not metal. Ceramic/ stone heats very evenly, but is a little slower because you don't use a high setting. I have used both electric & gas in both residental & commercial kitchens and can not say enough about how satisfied I am with this stove! The owner of the store that I purchased this product from also advised that there are very few maintance problems & when there are parts are readily availble. He also stated that LG is very good about honoring the warranty.

Hard to Clean

I like a lot of the Features but the burner caps are very hard to clean. They get stains on them that can not be removed. I tried an oven top cleaner and it did not work. Now the burner cap has a dull finish from the stove top cleaner.
Pros: easy to use

Everything I hoped it would be.

I had been wanting to switch to a gas range for a long time, but did not want the extra payment. When I dropped a cup on my electric smooth top then the gas range became more of a need than a want. I had already looked at lots of ranges and decided that I wanted an LG. I love the heft of the grates. Everything I have made in the oven so far has turned out fine using the recipe cook times and temps. I even used the broiler, which I have never been prone to do. The storage drawer is smaller than the electric but the performance more than makes up tor that. This model was also one of Consumer Report's top rated ranges in its category. As a bonus the Lord worked it out so that the range was paid for before it arrived. LG = Life's Good, but I say GG = God's good. No payments..

Attractive but Poorly Designed; I Regret My Choice
on May 26, 2015

I wish I could talk to designers the of this range. I fear the range was great in theory but not in practice. It is lovely and cooks evenly and well; however, it has several design flaws that make me wish I had not purchased this range. First of all, and most importantly, the oven vents under the control panel, which means that when I want to turn on the timer, hot air is blowing on my hand. Normally this might not be a huge problem, but the timer is very difficult to use: buttons are difficult to depress, and it is hard to understand the logic of the timing features. These items combined mean that I have nearly burned my hand (and actually did on burn it on the black rail under the controls the first time I used the oven.) Also, since it vents into the kitchen, the room becomes very hot. I have used electric recently, so maybe that is typical of gas, but it really is a drawback. As I mentioned, it is very attractive and the stovetop and oven do work efficiently, but using the oven tonight (and experiencing the difficulty with the timer and the hot air nearly burning me) inspired me to write this review and warn others.

Actual installation and leveling was completed in about 40 min. by a friend and myself with no problems. Have baked cakes and cookies with excellent results. Have owned many different brands of ranges in the past but this one seams to be the best by far!!! Oh Yea, oven capacity is super and cooktop/burners work great.

great stove

Like the 5th burner. It's great for grilling and making pancakes. Looks sharp. My kitchen is the first room in the house and this stove really makes the room look new. Oven temp might be a little low but i'm still getting used to it. Broiler's a big improvement over the bottom broiler stove I had before.

I love the features of this range

The new features of the power burner and the power plus burner (front side burners) are new to me and I am learning to use them properly to cook the meal much faster than the usual range burners. These burners are so powerful that they require much less time than the regular burners.
So far, I have learned that I have to be careful on how to set up the flame correctly when I start my cooking, so that my meals are prepared in much shorter time than usual, but since they are so powerful, they don't require much time to cook the meal, I love that! Also, they are perfect for larger pots and large pans.
I am learning every day more and more about my new range as I go along in my daily cooking activities, but so far, I am really happy with it, and I am glad I choose that product and brand. I also love the style and design. They have a classic, but modern look that goes well with any kitchen style.

Well, first of all the oven temp is spot on. Love to bake and it's perfect. Took a little while to figure out controls but once you get it, it's simple.Love the window, but most of all, love the the blue inside! It makes me smile everytime I open the oven.
